Our Message
Thank you for visiting our Heroes 4 Heroes fundraising page!We have taken on the goal of running the 21st Annual Pittsburgh Marathon to help The Hero Program and the families they support with children with terminal illnesses. The Hero Program supports families with terminally ill children with things that insurance simply does not provide. Imagine going through the normal struggles of daily life. The stresses of work, family, finances that all of us face. Now add a child with a terminal illness. Your child needs 24 hour a day support. You sacrafice everything you and your family have in order to spend every last moment with your child. Some days are better than others, but insurance only covers so many things. Imagine being told the medication, medical procedure or simple daily requirement your child needs are not covered by your insurance.
To date, the Hero program has provided support to the families they work with to help provide in home hospital beds, medical co-pay assistance, travel exepenses for experimental medical treatments, automobiles, and addititional support with daily and medical related expenses.
Please help us support The Hero Program and the families they support. Your donation coupled with donations of others will help The Hero Program continue to support the current families as well as take on additional families in Western Pennsylvania.
We thank you for your donation!
